Large diameter spinning discs.
Manufactured from HARDOX, the 1.1 meter diameter spinning discs are fitted with multi-position spreading blades. Blade angle is adjustable to achieve the correct spread patterns for a wide variety of materials. Spreading widths from 12 to 30 meters are possible depending on the density and nature of the product being spread.

Horizontal Beaters
Dynamically balanced and fitted with removable hardened Boron shredding blades the beaters are designed to process the toughest of materials and deliver a consistent flow to the spreading discs. To help increase the blades life the tips are also coated in an additional wear resistant material.

Floor drive gearbox 800 series
The 800 series floor drive gearbox is hydraulically driven to ensure an even feed of material to the spreading mechanism at all times. With a reverse feature, any foreign object too large to pass through the beaters can be easily removed. An adjustable cross-line relief valve also delivers additional protection. The 350 model is fitted with 2 floor drive gearboxes as standard.

Floor shaft bushes
60mm floor drive shafts rotate through polyester re-inforced composite bushes that contain a solid graphite filler, chosen for their high load applications in a variety of environments they are greasable, further extending their life. Bush highlighted in red.

20mm Floor chains
Grade 80 20mm heavy duty chains are drawn by high tensile sprockets. Sprockets are fitted to the front floor shaft as well as the driven rear shaft, ensuring perfect alignment and timing of the chains, which, in turn makes for a more reliable floor drive. Each chain has 50 tonne breaking load.

Full width floor slats
Full width floor slats clear the whole floor eliminating the possibility of bridging – a problem sometimes encountered with multi slat floor systems. The socket fit design facilitates maintenance, which can be carried out in the field. It also allows the chain to pull straight, should a slat become bent.

Floor chain tensioning
A robust, simple and reliable floor tensioning system ensures floor chain tension can be easily adjusted in order to be kept to its optimum setting. Floor chains are visible from the exterior of the machine making it easy to judge when tensioning is required.

Adjustable drop on point
The lower section of the rear canopy is adjustable to help achieve the correct spread pattern with different products.

Heavy duty beater drive
The horizontal beaters are driven by heavy duty Renold roller chains which incorporate solid rollers and bushes. These are chosen for their unbeatable resistance to wear, fatigue and most of all shock loading. An automatic cam driven oiler keeps the chains and sprockets lubricated.

Adjustable blade position
To fine tune spread patterns the angle of the blades on the disc can be adjusted through 5 positions.

One piece disc drive gearbox
The heavy duty, one piece, disc drive gearbox has 54 mm diameter, heat treated output shafts. The precision machined gearbox castings ensure perfect alignment of all the drive line components.
